"Just Call Me Diana"

 I named this painting, “Just Call Me Diana”. Something she said to Mario Testino at her last and most fabulous photo shoot. Diana’s profound empathy & gift of deeply connecting with others has left a beautiful legacy. I love that she is buried on an isle on her family’s estate that used to be a pet cemetery where her beloved cat Marmalade rests nearby. It outraged some people at that time but personally, I couldn’t think of a more lovely setting. She was also apparently very fond of a Shetland Pony called Soufflé. I do believe in an after life and imagine that she is continuing to spread her love around the universe, watching over beloveds.
